The first investment seminar organized in Pune by BOM Foreign Investments and the Netherlands Foreign Investments Agency exceeded all expectations. An audience of 120 people followed the seminar about the access Brabant has to offer to the market, partners and technology in the automotive industry.

Besides BOM Foreign Investments also representatives of FIER Automotive, High Tech Automotive Systems (Dutch Automotive R&D program) as well as the High Tech Automotive Campus were present to highlight the possibilities the Netherlands, and especially the province of Brabant has to offer as gateway to the European market. Not just for business development but also for partnership as well as research & development for new technologies or finding synergy in certain technologies and applications.

The possibilities the Netherlands and Brabant offer for market access, partners and techology combined with the national programs for innovation in the automotive industry and the developments of the High Tech Automotive Campus in Helmond resulted in positive response from the interested audience. In addition, the Indians considered the need for further cooperation between business and education as a must for healthy growth in this dynamic sector.

The possibilities Brabant has to offer for location, cooperation and exchange programs combined with education was an eye opener to many of the attendees. In 2010 all aspects of the seminar will be followed up by a trade mission, alliances and company visits in India and the Netherlands.
