Dec, Nov, Oct 2008 BOM Foreign Investments organized a seminar in Changzhou in cooperation with the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA), the city of Tilburg, the Jiangsu Representative Office in the Netherlands and Jiangsu DOFTEC. The gathering was well visited by more than 80 representatives from both business and governmental organizations in China. Presentations were held by:
- Changzhou City
- Jiangu DOFTEC
- Gemeente Tilburg, Ruud Vreeman
- NFIA, Guy Wittich
- BOM, Eelko Brinkhoff
- BBCA, Ms. Sissy Zhang, General Manager European division
The topic of the seminar was the position of the Netherlands, and more specific the province of Brabant and the city of Tilburg, as prominent point of access to European businesses and consumers. Excellent infrastructure, well trained and multilingual staff as well as a dynamic business environment are key to enable a succesful entrance to Europe. Icing on the cake was the testimonial by the Chinese company BBCA Biochemical, part of Cofco Group, about their choice for Tilburg as location for their first European activities. Accessability, labor market, customers and the service provided by NFIA, BOM and city of Tilburg were decisive for this enterprise.
