Dec, Nov, Oct 2008 BOM Foreign Investments visited Taiwan in the week of November 23. The investors program was organised in collaboration with Limburg Development Company (LIOF).
BOM Foreign Investments and LIOF held an investment seminar in cooperation with the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA), Taipei Office, and DiGiTimes on Wednesday November 25. More than 100 representatives of Taiwanese IT companies attended this event which was a pleasant surprise considering the current economic developments and the large attention of Taiwanese companies for China. The audience listened with interest to the presentation of NFIA, the joint presentation of BOM and LIOF about the possibilities of the South of the Netherlands, and the tax benefits of the Netherlands highlighted by KPMG.
The icing on the cake were the testimonials of Morrison Express, a logistical forwarder with a European hub in Maastricht, and BenQ with a European headoffice in Eindhoven. CEO and Chairman of BenQ, Conway Lee, informed the audience with his personal experience of working and living the city of Eindhoven in the Netherlands from 1998 up to 2007. On top of that he provided insight in the strategy of BenQ and the chances and possibilities in Europe, after Asia the second market for Taiwanese companies in his eyes.
