Brabant has recently furnished yet more evidence of the excellent advantages the region offers in the field of maintenance, with the World Class Aviation Academy and Boeing Company signing a cooperation agreement in Woensdrecht for the years to come. This is an important milestone for the Brabant-based aircraft maintenance training courses that cater to the whole of Europe.
Boeing and the Aviation Academy will collectively provide type training for military aircraft and helicopters. The partners will further develop courses intended to meet the training requirements of the aviation industry in the Netherlands. A new training centre is to be set up in western Brabant, which is expected to be operational in the second half of 2010.
The World Class Aviation Academy is a part of the ROC West-Brabant training centre and is one of the knowledge partners in the World Class Maintenance network in the south-west Netherlands, a network that also includes numerous local and international maintenance companies that are based in Brabant. The state and a variety of network organisations also participate in the World Class Maintenance consortium.
The Brabant Development Agency is one of the driving forces behind the many changes that are making Brabant an increasingly focussed and innovative maintenance region.
