The festive gathering was also attended by the mayors of the municipality Halderberge Mr G. Janssen and the municipality Roosendaal Mr J.M.L. Niedere and representatives of the national, regional and local authorities.
The distribution center will consist of 17,000 m² logistic en 1,000 m² office space and it is expected to be ready in Q4 2012. It will serve as an order fulfillment center for Northwest Europe. Forever Direct expects to send out 7,000 packages a day from the DC in Roosendaal.
Bodo de Wit of BOM Foreign Investments was present at the ceremony and confirms the attractiveness of Brabant as a logistic hub for US companies: “The past years we have seen several large US companies set up or consolidate their European Distribution Centres in this part of the Netherlands. Especially US retail companies that enter the European market have chosen Brabant as a location for their pan European distribution.”
