Mar, Feb, Jan 2009 Iron Mountain is extending its presence in the Benelux region through the opening of a new Records Center. The new building in Kraaiven Business Park in Tilburg is expected to be up and running by February next year.
The new Records Center will initially hold 8,605 square meters of storage space, with another 350 square meters devoted to offices. The company also has an option on an additional 6,700 square meters. These new premises allow Iron Mountain to cater to the growing demand for reliable information and document management services.
One of the reasons why Iron Mountain settled on Tilburg was due to its central location in the Benelux region. "We will be fitting the building out with high-tech equipment and security devices so that documents can be securely stored at the correct temperature and humidity," says managing director of Iron Mountain Benelux Ad Wijnhoven. "This is crucial when it comes to providing our clients with an optimal service."
Organizations can store important documents such as contracts, tax papers and company books in Iron Mountain's Record Centers. This allows them to comply with the applicable requirements for records management and accounting compliance. As a specialist information management company, Iron Mountain focuses on storing, sorting and archiving physical documents, a process that is done according to strict security rules. Iron Mountain also has its own transport wing for collecting and delivering documents. The company has Document Management solutions for those clients that wish to have their documents digitized or who require regular access to them. These solutions comprise the entire lifecycle of active files and combine physical storage with imaging and digital storage.
The company's Tilburg complex is being developed by HVBM Vastgoed in Tilburg, while the logistics division of Jones Lang LaSalle acted on behalf of the tenant, Iron Mountain Nederland B.V.
