Swedish Business in Brabant event: internet of things and networking

April 4, 2012 the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, Handelsbanken and BOM Foreign Investments organized the second edition of Swedish Business in Brabant. Location this time was the Ericsson Campus in Rijen. More than 50 members of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Swedish related companies in the Brabant region were welcomed by Managing Director Pim den Uyl and Patrick Essers, Program Director Seedlinqs. After an introduction about the general role of Ericsson in society, their innovation capacity and growth strategy, the importance of the telecommunication infrastructure was put in perspective that day illustrated by the fire at the Vodafone site.

Already inspired by Mr. Den Uyl’s words on the future of Ericsson and it’s role in the future of communication Mr. Essers give a lively and interactive presentation on the Internet of Things, combined with information of the Social Web of Things and a Networked Society. The impact on society when we grow from the current 5 billion mobile connections to 50 billion in the future is immense.

The event was concluded with networking, drinks and trying out all new products. The Swedish Business in Brabant event will have its third edition in the second half of this year.
