FEI Company will build a new site of 600 square meter next to the current facility in Eindhoven. The site will be used to increase production, necessary because of the increasing amount of orders. In December 2011 the organisation already announced they wanted to increase their workforce from 600 to 660.

Record revenue
A week ago, FEI reported record revenue and bookings for the first quarter 2012. "We have started 2012 with all-time record orders and solid execution after a record-setting 2011," commented Don Kania, president and CEO. "The booking record was led by our Electronics business, and bookings were up in three of our four business segments compared with a year earlier. Nearly all of the growth was organic. Gross margins improved from last year and the fourth quarter, keeping us on track toward our target for the end of 2012."
