Fluke’s European head office has been located in Eindhoven since 1993, a strategic location from where this market leader in testing and measuring equipment can serve every country on the continent.
Founded in 1948, Fluke Corporation is a leading international company today with its head office in Everett, Washington, USA. Fluke is a frontrunner as a manufacturer of precision equipment that guarantees, amongst other things, that countless industries are ensured of continuity. Fluke’s core business is the development and manufacture of multimeters, and the company leads the pack internationally in this field. Fluke’s testing and measuring instruments are standard equipment for all professionals who insist on the best possible quality, including electricians, automation specialists and industrial companies. This equipment can not only be used to track down disruptions, it can more importantly prevent them happening in the first place.
Fluke’s worldwide presence provides it with a great advantage over the competition. But that does not just happen of its own accord – the company invests a great deal in innovations that are used to enter new markets. An example of this is the way in which Fluke devoted itself to the development and manufacture of infrared cameras, today used in housing and other areas.
Fluke is recognised as an authority in its field. Top metrologists around the world will refer to the know-how of Fluke when it comes to calibrating measuring equipment. And the company also makes its expertise available for international and national legislation with regard to measuring energy.
Fluke has an annual turnover in the region of one billion US dollars, with some 4,000 employees around the globe. A quarter of those people work in Europe, a very important area for Fluke when it comes to strategy. This underscores the significance of Fluke’s presence in Eindhoven.

Over 200 Fluke employees work in Eindhoven, and hardly a word of Dutch is spoken in its European head office. “That is one of the reasons why we chose this location,” says CFO Europe Rob van Zeeland. “We are in an international environment here in Brabant.”
Fluke Europe in Eindhoven welcomes ‘people who speak their language’, as the office also houses the European call-centre. Electronic experts in almost every European country can use catalogues or the internet to order their equipment from Eindhoven. Marketing and sales aside, the Eindhoven office also provides full logistical services. And it is also the financial service centre for Fluke Europe.
The logistical conditions also played a role when it came to Fluke choosing Eindhoven in Brabant. “Its proximity to international highways and to major airports is very important to our operations,” van Zeeland says. “This was the case when we first arrived, and it is still the case today. Fluke Europe is perfectly located in Eindhoven.”
